    Each year, designers, creatives, innovators, activists, and your average Joes (and not-so-average-Joes) come together for We Create to explore creative solutions to address the many challenges facing our city. In collaboration with Better Block SGF, ULI Southwest Missouri will host the Opening Social at this year's event. Doors open at 5 pm for networking, followed by a presentation by Daniel Hintz, Founder and CEO of Velocity Group, and the kickoff of the 2024 Design Challenge!

     About Daniel Hintz
    As Founder and CEO of Velocity Group, Daniel has worked across North America, with projects including downtown and neighborhood master plans, regional economic development initiatives, nonprofit organizational strategy and capacity building, national branding and marketing initiatives, private development projects and tenant programming, talent recruitment and retention strategies, special event production, art and cultural initiatives, restaurant and hospitality concepts, food and culinary systems, community outreach and engagement, and public policy work.
     
    Daniel also founded Blockline, LLC, a private development company with over $15M+ in urban infill and historic building rehab. In addition, Daniel co-owns Bauhaus Biergarten, a German-style restaurant and bar with his business partner Chef Jennifer Hill Booker in downtown Springdale, Arkansas and owns a successful Airbnb in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. Prior to Velocity Group, Daniel served as Executive Director of Downtown Bentonville, Inc., where he managed and facilitated economic development, community experience design and marketing for the 1,768-acre downtown district, fostering a growing art, entertainment, culinary, and entrepreneurial scene that has earned international attention. Daniel has taught at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business and has presented at TEDx, American Institute of Architects, Congress for the New Urbanism, American Association of Landscape Architects, National Town Builder Association, International Economic Development Council, among others. He currently serves on the Bentonville Advertising and Promotions Commission, is an Advisory Board Member for First National Bank of Northwest Arkansas, and is on the Advisory Board for Brightwater: Center for the Study of Food.
