Net Zero Imperative
Kansas City joins seven other global cities as part of the first cohort of ULI’s Net Zero Imperative!
ULI Kansas City was recently awarded a grant through ULI’s Net Zero Imperative, a multi-year initiative to accelerate decarbonization in the built environment. Our District Council joins seven other global cities — including Austin, Beijing, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Toronto, and Shenzhen, China — in this effort to move our respective regional building stock towards net zero. Learn more about this ULI initiative here.
Our work locally is in partnership with the Building Energy Exchange KC. The recorded webinar Net Zero Imperative: Cities & Real Estate Accelerating Decarbonization in the Built Environment provides an overview of this new program and features Kansas City, Austin, and Los Angeles discussing their journey to net zero. KC BE-Ex Executive Director Ashley Sadowski is featured as a panelist.
As part of this effort, ULI Kansas City hosted a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) in Kansas City on March 6-8, 2022. The TAP Report and Presentation Recording are available here.
