Hines Competition in KC
Congratulations to Team Fusion, winner of the 2021 Hines Competition!
The East Village neighborhood in downtown Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO), was the study site for the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) 19th annual ULI / Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition. This educational initiative, open to graduate-level students, is an exercise to encourage innovative ideas and cross-disciplinary collaboration and provides an opportunity to devise a comprehensive design and development program for an actual large-scale urban site. This year, 105 teams — 525 students — representing 61 universities in the United States, Canada, and Singapore competed, including 34 teams with students from more than one university.
