    ULI Kansas City and Downtown Chamber of Commerce have partnered to bring an emerging trends national forecast and panel discussion of the Kansas City market.

    ULI Center for Capital Markets released Emerging Trends, a report which draws from extensive one-on-one interviews with senior industry leaders, an in-depth online survey of a broader pool of senior experts, and District Council expert focus groups. It spotlights upcoming real estate trends in capital markets, property sectors and geographic markets.

    Michael Collins, JE Dunn Capital Partners, ULI and District Council Chair (Moderator) 
    Michael has extensive knowledge and experience in creating and executing strategies for successful project delivery, commercial real estate development (corporate, industrial and transportation), waterfront development, development finance and multi-modal commerce. Mr. Collins earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at Park University;
    while working for U.S. Senator Christopher "Kit" Bond. He then attended Rockhurst University earning a Master of Business Administration, with emphasis on competitive analysis and finance. Michael also attended executive education at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. 

    Andrew C. Ganahl, Co-Founder of Linden Street Partners
    Andrew C. Ganahl is one of two founding principals of Linden Street Partners, a real estate firm dedicated to the development of high-quality, urban multi-family and mixed-use buildings in the central and western United States. Unlike many development firms that try to cover a wide range of product types in a wide variety of settings, Linden Street only builds in dense, walkable, urban environments and only builds high-finish-level, market-rate projects.     Anita Kramer, ULI HQ 
    Anita Kramer is Senior Vice President, ULI Center for Capital Markets and Real Estate. In this position she directs and manages three programs: Emerging Trends Americas, the semi-annual ULI Real Estate Economic Forecast, and thenew Deal Profile program. In addition, she provides support to the ULI/McCoy Symposium on Real Estate Finance. Ms. Kramer joined ULI as the Senior Director of Retail and Mixed-Use Development. She directed research, education and programs in the area of retail and mixed-use development and was responsible for the annual Dollars & Cents of Shopping Centers, and the Retail Development Handbook, Retail Opens Up! The Shape of Today’s Open-Air Retail Centers and Residential Over Retail: How to Make It Work. Ms. Kramer also co-produced ULI’s annual Reinventing Retail conference. Read more here.
     
    Leon McBroom, Senior Director of JLL Capital Markets
    Leon is a senior director in the Denver office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas with over 10 years in the commercial real estate industry.  He joins JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and specializes in debt and equity placement.  During his tenure, he has successfully capitalized a variety of properties, including office, retail, hospitality, industrial and multifamily. The capitalizations have included conventional permanent financing, construction financing, mezzanine financing, bridge financing and equity joint ventures.  Over the course of his career,
    Leon has been involved in more than $5 billion of debt and equity in commercial real estate transactions in Denver and across the U.S. Leon started at HFF in October 2012.  Before that, he was a vice president at Commerce Bank, where he underwrote and closed more than $500
    million in loan transactions.  He began his commercial real estate career at Commerce Bank as a credit analyst. Read more here

    Ian Ross, Founder of Somera Road, Inc.
    Ian Ross founded Somera Road Inc. in 2014 to take an entrepreneurial and creative approach to value-add, opportunistic real estate in non-core markets. Previously, Ian was a Managing Director at Triangle Capital Group, a firm he helped develop shortly after its inception. Ian received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and graduated with honors from Emory University with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
     
    Jolene Saul, Vice President, Brinshore Development
    Established in 1994, Brinshore Development is an innovative real estate company specializing in development of residential communities that foster conservation, collaboration and affordability. Jolene Saul joined Brinshore in July 2016. Prior to joining Brinshore Ms. Saul was a senior Director for PRA, Acquisitions, & Special Initiatives at the Chicago Housing Authority where she was responsible for planning and implementing efforts to provide long-term affordable housing opportunities throughout Chicago. Jolene received a master of Urban Planning degree from New York University and Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Expository Writing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
