ULI Kansas City's Net Zero Imperative TAP Report Available Now
October 20, 2022
ULI Kansas City Members, Sponsors, and Friends,
We are thrilled to introduce new Executive Director, Katherine Carttar! Katherine begins her new role this week, but she is no stranger to ULI Kansas City. She has been an engaged member of our district council for many years, most recently co-chairing our Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) Committee and helping plan the Chouteau Courts, Juniper Gardens, Westwood, and Streetcar Extension TAPs. Katherine has diverse experience in community and business development and comes to ULI from the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, where she served as Director of Economic Development for the past four years. Previously, she served a variety of economic development roles with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, with a focus on urban redevelopment.
This is a catalytic time for development across Kansas City and we are thrilled to have Katherine’s expertise, knowledge of the Kansas City real estate community, and commitment to the ULI mission. Katherine is the right person to connect, inspire, and lead our planned expansion of the ULI mission regionally.
Sincere thanks to previous Executive Director Joy Crimmins for growing and elevating ULI Kansas City over seven years. Under Joy’s leadership we launched our TAP program, Urban Plan, Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI), and many other programs. Joy seamlessly shifted to virtual programming and grew both our membership and member engagement during a global pandemic. Joy will remain involved with ULI Kansas City as a member and volunteer with our TAP and Sponsorship committees. We wish Joy all the best in her new role at CBRE!
Samantha Moores will continue in her District Council Manager role and we thank her for keeping everything running during this transition, together with REDI Program Manager Shawnna Murrell who kept this year’s class on schedule.
Sincerely,
Joe Perry
